What is Collagen Induction Therapy?

Also known as: CIT, Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy is the clinical name for microneedling: tiny needles create controlled micro-injuries that prompt the skin to build new collagen, improving texture and firmness.

Collagen induction therapy (CIT) is the clinical term for microneedling. A device with fine needles creates many tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin. The body responds to these as it would to any small wound, by ramping up its natural repair process and producing fresh collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin firm and smooth.

Over a series of treatments, this renewed collagen improves skin texture, softens fine lines and scars, and refines pores. When radiofrequency energy is added, the collagen-building effect reaches deeper, as with Morpheus8 and EXION. A consultation determines the best version for your skin.
