What is Chemical Peel?

Also known as: Skin Peel, Acid Peel

A chemical peel applies a controlled solution to the skin to exfoliate and remove damaged outer cells, revealing smoother, brighter, more even skin underneath as it heals.

A chemical peel uses a carefully chosen solution, often containing acids such as glycolic, salicylic, or lactic acid, applied to the skin to loosen and remove the outer layers of dead and damaged cells. As the old skin sheds, fresher skin is revealed, and the process also encourages renewal underneath.

Peels range from light, refreshing treatments with little downtime to deeper formulas for more pronounced concerns like sun damage, uneven tone, fine lines, and acne. Your provider selects the right strength for your skin and goals. A series of lighter peels is a common, gentle approach to building results.
